Sailing Agenda (Always Subject to Change)   Itinerary - September 1, 2001 to August 31, 2002 Preparing for departure. Itinerary - September 1, 2002 to August 31, 2003 A: Sept 2002 to Dec 2002 ... Victoria to Cape Flattery and up to 75 miles offshore down the Pacific Coast to Morro Bay. Layover here until the storm season has settled further south. B:Jan 2002 to Mar 2003 ... Down the coast of Mexico and Central America, then through the Panama Canal to the Carribean Sea. C: Mar 2003 to May 2003 ... Western Caribbean, from Panama up to the Yucatan and Isla Mujeres before crossing to Key West in the Florida Keys. D: Jun 2003 to Aug 2003 ... Following the Gulf Stream north to Beaufort, Intracoastal Waterway to Norfolk and offshore up to Gloucester, Mass. Then on to Nova Scotia, PEI , Gaspé Coast and the St. Lawrence River up to Cacouna, Québec. Itinerary - September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004 A: Sept 2003 to Nov 2003 ... St. Lawrence, Gaspé Coast, PEI, Nova Scotia (collision) and back to Gloucester, Mass. B: Nov 2003 to Dec 2003 ... South down the US East Coast to Norfolk & the Intracoastal Waterway to Florida and the Bahamas. (These plans were aborted due to collision damage to Meriah combined with poor weather conditions). C: Dec 2003 to June 2004 ... Meriah remains in Gloucester, Mass over the winter and carrying out hull repairs to Meriah in the spring. D: July 2004 to Aug 2004 ... Back north to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton's Bras d'Or Lakes, then PEI , Gaspé Coast and the St. Lawrence River up to Québec City. Itinerary - September 1, 2004 to October 31, 2005 A: Sept 2004 to Dec 2004 ... From Québec City to Sorel (near Montreal). South down the Richelieu River, Lake Champlain and Hudson River Waterways to New York City. Then continuing south offshore to Norfolk and taking the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to Brunswick, Georgia. B: Jan 2005 to May 2005 ... From Brunswick continuiong down the ICW to Fort Pierce, then crossing to the Bahamas (Abacos) where we will spend the rest of the winter. C: May 2005 to Oct 2005 ... Direct from Whale Cay in the Bahamas to Beaufort, North Carolina. Then via the Intracoastal Waterway behind Cape Hattaras to Norfolk, Virginia and up the Chesapeake to Annapolis, Maryland where Meriah will stay at a mooring for the summer. Itinerary - November 1, 2005 to October 31, 2007 A: Nov 2005 to Dec 2005 ... Returning south down the Chesapeake and via the waterway again to Beaufort. Continuing south offshore to Charleston South Carolina with another offshore run down to Brunswick, Georgia. B: Dec 2005 to May 2006 ... From Brunswick continuiong down the ICW to Fort Pierce. (We discover that Nicky is pregnant!) Crossing to the Bahamas (Abacos) once again where we will spend the rest of the winter. C: May 2006 to Oct 2007 ... From Little Bahama Bank to Beaufort, North Carolina (offshore to Charleston, offshore to Cape Fear, then via the Intracoastal Waterway north to Beaufort). Continuing up the ICW behind Cape Hattaras to Norfolk, Virginia and up the Chesapeake to Town Creek near Solomons, Maryland where we leave Meriah for the summer, fall , winter, spring & summer. We fly back to British Columbia where Nicky will have her baby. Itinerary - November 1, 2007 to October 31, 2008 A: Nov 2007 to Dec 2007 ... Returning south down the Chesapeake and south via the waterway again, but this time all the way down the ICW and across to the Bahamas (Abacos) before Christmas. B: Dec 2007 to April 2008 ... Staying in the Abacos for the winter. C: April 2008 to Oct 2008 ... From the Bahamas via the ICW all the way up to Town Creek in the Chesapeake where Meriah will stay for the summer Itinerary - November 1, 2008 to October 31, 2009 A: Nov 2008 to Oct 2009 ... Repeating last year's itinerary. or: Nov 2008 to May 2009 ... From the Chesapeake down the ICW to Fort Lauderdale. Crossing to the Bahamas (Exumas) and then making our way slowly further south down to the Virgin Islands and Lesser Antilles. C: May 2009 to Oct 2009 ... Making our way south again where Meriah will spend the summer season in the Islands off the North Coast of Venezuela. Itinerary - November 1, 2009 to October 31, 2010 A: Nov 2009 to Dec 2009 ... Repeating last year's itinerary or remaining in the Netherlands Antilles & North Coastal regions of Venezuela. B: Dec 2009 to May 2010 ... Back north up the Lesser and Greater Antilles to visit Cuba and Jamaica. Then via Mexico & Central America to Panama and west through the Canal. Continuing north via Central America to the Pacific coast of Mexico. or: Dec 2009 to May 2010 ... Sailing directly eastwards with the Trades to Cartagena, Columbia then west through the Panama Canal. Continuing north via Central America to the Pacific coast of Mexico. C: May 2010 to Aug 2010 ... Mexico to San Diego, then continuing north up along the Pacific Coast back home to Vancouver Island.
